A Message from the Superintendent

Students, Families, and Community Members,

Welcome to the Lincoln County R-III School District! Lincoln County R-III School District is an outstanding district where all stakeholders value education and set high standards for results. We are Missouri’s 25th largest school district (out of 518) with an enrollment of 7,000+ students in grades Pre-K through 12, and are home to 14 schools:

  • 1 Early Childhood Education Center
  • 8 K-5 elementary schools (pre-k available at 3 elementary locations)
  • 2 middle schools
  • 1 Ninth Grade Center
  • 1 high school (10-12)
  • 1 non-traditional high school

LCR3 encompasses 238 square miles, incorporating the areas of Hawk Point, Troy, and Moscow Mills.

I am honored to serve as your Superintendent of Schools. I am committed to working closely with the Board of Education and our administrative team to ensure that each student feels safe and welcomed in our schools and receives an exemplary education.

In my opinion, a few things that set LCR3 apart from the crowd are:

  • community pride & partnerships
  • the LCR3 Education Foundation that enhances learning through grants (a total of over $800,000 awarded to teachers and classrooms to date)
  • an engaged, committed, and supportive Board of Education
  • responsible management of our student population growth
  • the ability to meet the basic needs of our students to enhance their learning through organizations like Bright Futures and Buddy Bags
  • the ability to meet the needs of ALL students through student services/special education, gifted, advanced placement, dual credit college courses, and dual enrollment online learning (6-12)
  • a positive influence on our community with facilities and construction
  • we provide a wide variety of student opportunities for award-winning co-curricular/ extracurricular activities
  • we cultivate strong partnerships with post-secondary institutions and workforce development programs

I look forward to working with you and your children to provide “exemplary experiences, trusting relationships, and superior instruction” from bell to bell each school day. Thank you for showing support by entrusting us daily with your most cherished possession and our nation’s most valuable resource – our children.

Sincerely,

Matthew L. Frederickson, Ph.D.
