Reporting Concerns

To quickly and effectively investigate any threat to school safety, school personnel and/or law enforcement must first be made aware of the concern. If you or your child becomes aware of a threat to school safety, a report can be made in the following ways:

  • Report to the teacher or building administration by phone, email, or through ParentSquare
  • Report to law enforcement
  • Report through Courage2Report, State online reporting system (available 24/7, and notifications are pushed to building and district administrators)

All concerns regarding school safety are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated. Once information regarding a potential threat to school safety is brought to the attention of the building administration, an investigation begins. Specific disciplinary action is protected by FERPA and can not be shared with the public. However, families can refer to the PreK-12 Code of Conduct or possible discipline outcomes.

In any emergency situation, our first priority is making sure that students and staff are safe. This sometimes causes a delay in communication. We appreciate your patience as we work to get accurate information to you as quickly as possible.
